Ken Lake, West Olympia
Tucked away in the heart of West Olympia, the Lakemoor Community at Ken Lake is an urban forest community organized around a private natural lake.
In addition to protecting the lake and providing access through neighborhood parks, we come together several times each year for various events, such as the annual Fishing Derby and the 4th of July parade and picnic.
The Lakemoor Community at Ken Lake is a diverse, secure neighborhood which cherishes engagement and connection.

The LCC Board
Purpose
The LCC board manages our community resources to care for our lake, our shared public parks, and to fund community-led events.
Structure
Our HOA is managed by a volunteer board of directors who do the essential work of organizing our community. There are 7 members on the board, with 3 or 4 members elected into office each year. Learn more about board structure by reviewing our bylaws.
The work of the board may be carried out by board members, or by committees. Committees are formed by neighbors around goals or tasks, and are approved by the board. You can join a committee to share your experience, or to volunteer in small ways — we all work together to care for Ken Lake.

As part of the special focus on enforcing community rules, compliance checks are conducted in recreation areas during the high use periods. Ken Lake Security also monitors vehicle speeds year-round to help keep our residents safe.

Planting native species supports local wildlife and reduces water usage. The Gardens Committee maintains a list of recommended plants for our Pacific Northwest climate.
